Events Calendar - Event View

On Saturday we will leave the hotel for a driving tour through scenic Connecticut.

We will be visit two or three wineries, and make a stop for lunch. There is no registration fee for the winery tour, but everyone will pay for their own lunch and wine tasting. We will return to the hotel for the evening banquet.



We will provide more details closer to the time.

Note: The winery tour is at the same time as the Slalom, so don't register for both! It is OK for different members of your registration to attend different events)

A 'slalom' (a.k.a. 'autocross') is a single-car, timed run through a course demarcated by orange safety cones. Many car clubs stage these events, usually varying the course layout from event to event. JCSNE's slaloms always use the JCNA-defined course layout (essentially a figure 8) so that local times can be compared against times for any other JCNA-sanctioned slalom across the country in order to be eligible for national awards.

Register to enter your car, or if you want to come along and watch for free that's also ok (no need to register).

If you are a JCSNE member, we will need you to enter your JCNA membership number when you register, so you will be covered by our liability insurance. If you are a member of JCSNE and don't know your JCNA membership number, please contact Hal Kritzman or Steve Hill and we'll let you know what it is.

None members pay an additional $5 for insurance.

IMPORTANT: Once you have registered we will send you an official JCNA slalom form to complete. This provides details of your vehicle, drivers license etc. You must complete this and return it to JCSNE, or bring it to the event.

1. I 84 East to Exit 50
2. Straight off the exit onto Morgan St.
3. Turn left at the 3rd light onto Market St.
4. Turn right at the Citgo Station onto Pequot St.

From I 84 West:

1.I 84 West to Exit 50
2. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Market St.
3. Go thru 2 lights.
4. Turn right at the Citgo Station onto Pequot St.

On Saturday Evening we will be holding a banquet at the Sheraton Four Points in Meridan, with a dinner and special guest speakers.

The event will start with Cocktails at 5pm (cash bar), with a buffet dinner at 6p.

For JCNA members to enter a car in the Champion Division Concours D'Elegance.

Champion Division is the most demanding JCNA Concours Division.

It challenges its Entrants to research, prepare, and present the judged portions of their cars in their original, authentic, factory-delivered configuration, and condition. All Entries in Champion Division will have their interiors, exteriors, engine compartments, and boots judged for authenticity, condition, and cleanliness.

For JCNA members to enter a car in the Driven Division of the Concours D'elegance.
Driven Division also challenges its Entrants to research prepare, and present their Entries in their original, authentic, factory-delivered configuration and condition. However, Driven Division is for Jaguars that, regardless of age, are in regular use.

In consideration of this usage, Driven Division Entries do not have their engine compartments or boots judged and certain convenience and safety-related authenticity exceptions are allowed. The exteriors and interiors of Driven Division Entries are judged to the same standard as Champion Division. Driven Division Entries are encouraged to be driven under their own power from their normal place of garaging to the concours site and return. Towing or trailering is allowed for 35-year and older Entries.

For JCNA members to enter a car in the Special Division of the Concours D'elegance. Special Division is for competition and limited production Jaguars; production Jaguars privately prepared for competition; modified production Jaguars, and Jaguar powered vehicles with replica Jaguar bodies.

The Enthusiast division is a special division, open to anyone (members or non members of JCSNE/JCNA) with a Jaguar or Daimler automobile. Everyone entering a car in the Concours gets to vote on the results, so it's similar to a people's choice.

This class is for anyone who'd like to enter an automobile into the Concours D'Elegance that is NOT a Jaguar or Daimler. The results will be determined by our panel of judges
